A 19-year-old motorcyclist from Moonachie was hospitalized after he was ejected during a rear-end crash early Tuesday with a Tesla on Route 17, authorities said. The May 7 morning rush was well underway when the motorcyclist rammed the other vehicle from behind just south of the busy Franklin Avenue intersection around 7:30 a.m. He was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with injuries that didn't appear to be life-threatening, Hasbrouck Heights Police Lt. Newark Airport TSA: Yet Another Traveler Says He Didn't Know He'd Packed A Gun
A Florida man was arrested after TSA agents at Newark Airport found a loaded pistol in his carry-on, authorities said. It was part of what threatens to be a record year with more than 5,000 guns intercepted at airports throughout the country so far compared with 6,542 for ALL of 2023. Police in Newark are attempting to locate a missing 61-yer old woman diagnosed with dementia. Cheryl Ann Patricia Hodge was last seem at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 4 at the 100 block of Chancellor Ave, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said. She is 5'7", 165 lbs. with a dark complexion and her hair is styled in gray and black box braids, Fragé said. She may be wearing an orange shirt, black leggings, and black Ugg boots, Fragé said. Rockland Man Dies From Drugs Bought In Bergen From Paterson Dealer: Authorities
Authorities from Bergen and Rockland counties who arrested a man accused of selling a fentanyl-laced dose of Xanax that killed a user from Suffern reported finding two stolen guns in his Paterson home. Detectives determined that Tristan Colquhoun, 30, sold Matthew Andreas, 39, of Suffern the fatal dose, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. Suicidal Man Hospitalized After Walking Into Route 46 Traffic: Responders
A suicidal man was hospitalized after responders said he deliberately walked into Route 46 traffic in Little Falls early Monday afternoon. The 33-year-old man, who they said spoke only Spanish, was struck near the Browertown Road exit -- apparently after some type of domestic incident -- shortly before 1 p.m. May 6. He was taken to St. Joseph's University Medical Center in Paterson with serious bodily injuries.
