Thirteen Bedford Central Students Participate In County Music Festivals BEDFORD, N.Y. -- Thirteen students in the Bedford Central School District were among those who participated in a pair of county-wide music festivals this past weekend. The district, which announced the students' roles, noted that it was Westchester County School Music Association's 60th Annual Elementary, Junior & Intermediate All-County Music Festivals. Katonah's Julia Mallon Plays In All-Star Game For Harvey, Wins Honors KATONAH, N.Y. -- This year's basketball postseason is been a big one for Harvey School student Julia Mallon. The school announced that Mallon, and junior and Katonah resident, played in the NEPSAC All Star game this past Sunday. The appearance was Mallon's second, the school added. Mallon, according to Harvey, scored a basket, and made several steals and assists. “It was really an honor to play with such talented players,” Mallon said in a statement provided by the school. North Salem Students Present 'Beauty And The Beast' NORTH SALEM, N.Y. -- While a remake of "Beauty and the Beast" is opening in movie theaters this month, North Salem residents can also watch a live-action version closer to home. 'Les Mis' Comes To Byram Hills High School ARMONK, N.Y. -- Byram Hills High School students will perform in four renditions of Victor Hugo's "Les Misérables" this week. The play is also commonly known by its abbreviation, "Les Mis." Greeley Students Present 'The Laramie Project' CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- Students at Horace Greeley High School will perform four renditions of "The Laramie Project," a play about the 1998 beating and death of Matthew Shepherd in Laramie, Wyoming. Somers HS Hosting National Art Honor Society Induction SOMERS, N.Y. -- Somers High School will host a prestigious gathering that is geared towards talented art students.
