Pound Ridge Elementary School's Annual Fifth-Grade Fundraiser Pancake Breakfast will include a variety of food, including some gluten-free items; arts and crafts activities; a bake sale; and a mini-carnival that includes a ga-ga pit, bouncy house and Velcro wall.
There will also be a raffle with more than $7,500 in prizes.
There's no admission cost. Menu items range from $2-6, the games and crafts start at a $1 per ticket, and bake sale items start at $2.
"Bottom line is, it is affordable for all, and all are welcome," event co-chair Gallia Batt said.
Batt said that, in addition to pancakes -- including chocolate-chip pancakes -- the menu will also include bacon; made-to-order scrambled eggs; egg and cheese sandwiches on homemade ciabatta rolls; a yogurt, berry and granola trifle; and bagels with cream cheese and lox.
While the kids aren't doing the cooking, they do help seat guests, serve the meal and clear it, Batt said. They're also involved with raffle sales, the bake sale, and the crafts and games.
The event will run from 8 a.m. to noon, at Pound Ridge Elementary School, 7 Pound Ridge Road.
