For the past two years I have had the privilege of working on the Pound Ridge Town Board under the leadership of Dick Lyman. In my forty years in town and knowing seven previous supervisors, I can honestly say that Dick has been the most effective and creative chief administrator of the town. He truly knows the history and workings of all aspects of this town and is a quick study of all new legislations and directives that have come down from the State and other agencies. He works tirelessly to do what is best for our town’s interests at minimal expense to all taxpayers. He has been proactive in issues that involve our town and has been effective in searching for and finding solutions to current problems. Dick’s leadership capabilities and management skills are second to none! Most importantly, it is obvious that he is totally committed to the smooth running of the town and the well being of all its citizens.
Running for Town Board Council seats to serve with Dick are two very qualified candidates. Bonnie Schwartz has already proven herself as a councilwoman for the past four years. Her tireless energy and enthusiasm and willingness to pitch in wherever needed are more than admirable. As Dick often says, she’s “the energizer bunny.” Peter Marchetti will be an excellent addition to the board with his stellar qualifications. His unique professional perspective and expertise as an engineer will be most helpful with our on-going TEP and Waste Water Task Force projects.
I strongly urge you to cast your vote on November 7 for Dick Lyman and for his team of Schwartz, Marchetti and Damascus so Pound Ridge will continue to be the town we all chose and love to live in.
