Hilda Velazquez has been charged with three counts of third-degree grand larceny and one count of fourth-degree grand larceny. All of the counts are felonies.

Each of the third-degree charges allow for up to seven years in prison, police said, while the fourth-degree charge allows for up to four years in prison.

Velazquez was identified as a suspect following an investigation in response to reports of missing jewelry, police said. She was arrested at her residence in White Plains, police said, with White Plains Police providing assistance.

Velazquez was arraigned in Pound Ridge's town court and appeared before Town Justice Ira Clair. Police said that bail was set at $20,000 cash and $40,000 bond. She was then transferred to the Westchester County jail and has another court date on March 14, police added.

Police are also trying to find out whether there are more alleged victims. People with information are asked to contact the police department - the number is 914-764-4206 - and ask for Det. Stephen Mulcahy.
