Police: Woman Involved In Scotts Corners Crash Had BAC Three Times Limit

POUND RIDGE, N.Y. -- A New Canaan woman is in trouble with the law after a police investigation into her one-car wreck in Pound Ridge revealed she had a blood alcohol content nearly three times the legal limit.

According to a Pound Ridge Police report, at approximately 1 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 9, police responded to a one-car accident on Westchester Avenue at Scotts Corners, where they found New Canaan resident Patricia Murray, 47, “highly intoxicated.”

Murray was taken into custody and transported to Pound Ridge Police Headquarters, where she was charged with a misdemeanor count of driving while intoxicated after her blood alcohol content was .23 percent. She was released on $300 bail and is due back in court on Monday, Jan. 9.
