POUND RIDGE, N.Y. The Pound Ridge Town Board along with Supervisor Gary Warshauer made several committee and liaison appointments at its annual reorganization meeting last week.
Jon Powers was appointed deputy supervisor and OEM executive director, Steve Conti was named director of finance and Marianne Vitelli was appointed confidential secretary to the supervisor.
Special advisors to the supervisor and town board Harvey Dann for insurance, Jon Powers, Croton Watershed and DEC representative, Bill Harding, Environmental Initiatives and Comprehensive Plan advisor, Dick Lyman, Westchester County Septic Committee representative and John Maddocks, Northern Westchester Energy Action Coalition representative.
The town board also appointed several liaisons. Alison Boak was named liaison for bill auditing, Planning Board and Drug Abuse Prevention Council, Dick Lyman for business district, Highway and Maintenance Departments, Housing Board and Conservation Board, Peter Falco for Landmarks and Historic Districts Commission, Open Space Acquisitions Committee, Gary Warshauer for Police Department, Recreation Commission, Water Control Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals and Jon Powers for Sustainability Task Force.
Additionally, Jim Sullivan was appointed town attorney, Steve OBrien was named town historian, Joanne Pace was tabbed office manager and Joan Dooley was named dog control officer. Pace and Carole Wollenweber were named registrars of vital statistics, Lorraine Sannicandro was appointed deputy receiver of taxes and Steve Conti was tabbed as IT manager.
Ja Kee Lao was reappointed chair of the board of assessment review and John Freund was reappointed as chair of the board of ethics. Other reappointments include Gail Jankus as chair of the conservation board, Wendy Cummings and Barbara Carbone as co-chairs of the drug abuse prevention council, Josina van der Maas as chair of the housing board, Clay Fowler as chair of the planning board, John Ritzcovan as chair of the recreation commission, Bill Bedfor as chair of the water control commission and Les Maron as chair of the ZBA.
