To the Editor:

Pound Ridge is extremely fortunate to have a candidate like Sherene De Palma running for Town Board.

Sherene, an experienced attorney and mediator, owned a small business in nearby Bedford and is raising children who attend the Bedford Central School District. She brings a unique combination of experiences and a skill set that would enhance the board tremendously. In particular, her experience as a mediator, where she brings diverse parties together, would benefit the entire town. Her ability to get people communicating effectively and reaching agreement on how to move forward in difficult situations is extraordinary – a truly powerful asset for the Town Board.  Sherene shares our vision for Pound Ridge – for a thriving business district, protecting the rural nature and the natural resources of our town, maintaining fiscal responsibility and ensuring we have a healthy financial future. She’s been involved in many town activities – from PRES to the Pound Ridge Partnership – and brings a communication style and thoughtful approach that bring out the best in the people around her.   Pound Ridge needs Sherene De Palma – to be the voice of reason in environmental, business district and fiscal planning; helping us move forward together.  Roslyn Stone-Pollock Chair, Pound Ridge Democratic Committee
