A picture is worth a thousand words. An exhibit, which opened at the Pound Ridge Library on May 10 and runs through June 23, 2018 certainly proves that.
Entitled “Personal Choice,” the exhibit features the works of 11 members of The Ground Glass , a Westchester-based association of fine art photographers. The exhibitors are residents of Mamaroneck, Larchmont, Armonk, White Plains, Greenburgh, Rye, Harrison, Tarrytown, Yorktown and Yonkers.
The Ground Glass, founded in 1975, is an independent association dedicated to promoting the practice and appreciation of fine art photography in Westchester County, N.Y. It serves as a forum for photographers to express ideas, share technical information and participate in juried exhibitions. The group also addresses issues concerning photography through lectures, demonstrations and workshops. It meets on the second Wednesday of the month (September through May) at the Rye Arts Center .
A reception with the photographers will be held on Saturday, June 9, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. The Pound Ridge Library is located at 271 Westchester Avenue in Pound Ridge. Visit the library’s website for regularly library gallery hours.
