Exhibitors included Blind Charlie’s Cafe, Betty’s Tea Shop, DiNardo’s Ristorante, Maggie May’s Frozen Yogurt & Ice Cream, North Star Restaurant, Plum Plums Cheese, Pinocchio Pizza, Champagne Tea, Wittus-Fire by Design and The Grills at Albano’s.
Proceeds from the event were donated to the Pound Ridge Library Foundation. “It’s every non-profit’s dream to have an event that people are so excited about,” said Janet Schloat of the Library Foundation. “To find a benefit that everyone loves and can be repeated year after year. And every year it gets larger.”
“People get really excited about it,” added Foundation President Jon Posner. “They keep asking me, ‘When is it? When is it?’”
Schloat said at least 50 percent of the credit for organizing and implementing the event goes to Fred Albano. Albano declined to accept 50 percent of the credit, insisting the evening is a combined effort of members of the Pound Ridge Business Association.
By evening’s end most of the refreshments had disappeared and roughly 200 people, plus various staff members, volunteers and library-lovers were well-satisfied.
