Showers, Storms To Move Through Pound Ridge

A weather system is expected to move in during the evening that could produce severe storms through mid-week, according to the Weather Service.

By Monday evening, the chance of showers increases to about 30 percent for much of the Hudson Valley. By Tuesday, the chance increases to 50 percent, according to the Weather Service, which predicts that showers and strong thunderstorms are possible during the day and night. High temperatures Tuesday are expected to hover near 80 degrees.

The chance storms striking Wednesday falls to about 20 percent and Thursday is likely to be clear and warm, according to the Weather Service, but the wet weather may return for the weekend.

Forecasts for Friday and Saturday call for a 30 and 40 percent chance of thunder storms, respectively, according to the Weather Service, which predicts temperatures those days to rise into the mid-80s.

According to forecasters, Sunday is likely to pleasant with sunny skies and highs near 83 degrees.
