The Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act, passed by our Congress in 1986 requires hospitals to provide care for anyone needing emergency healthcare treatment regardless of citizenship, legal status or ability to pay and is one of the key reasons for our exploding medical costs.
Removing a law that shields people from being held accountable for their medical expenses is not sending them to the woods, its holding them accountable for the fees they incur. Entitlement charity is leading America to financial ruin and must be repealed.
Since the passing of ObamaCare, healthcare premiums have escalated dramatically, while coverage is starting to be reduced, making healthcare far more expensive than before. Proving that President Obama, you and President Nixon (wage and price controls) are wrong and that your beliefs that government edicts can reduce the costs of services or products while meeting market needs run counter to the laws of economics.
Liberty isn’t rhetoric; it’s the founding principle of America that Progressives have been dragging through the mud for over a hundred years. Liberty reduces the need for government; Progressive policies increase the need for government. The more government we have the more costly it is to live and the fewer freedoms we have. That’s not what this country was founded to deliver.
As for the check I might receive someday from the Federal government, why do you want it? Did you work for it? Are you owed it?
Paraphrasing Milton Freedman, there’s nothing wrong in receiving Social Security since you were forced to pay into it.
If ObamaCare is such a great deal, why is the The Business Council of Westchester being used by the Community Service Society of New York to sign people up for it under its real name, the Affordable Care Act?
Simple, because nobody wants it or needs it and nearly everyone wants to kill it, but the Progressives of both parties are shaking in their boots that its Stillbirth will cause a run on Liberty.
Mr_Bill is right that freeloaders are sucking the life out of our medical system, but what he fails to understand or accept is that we’ve written laws empowering these parasites to get free medical care. It was a nice thought, but a very flawed act.
So instead of compounding one large error with an even larger error, ObamaCare, let’s kill 2 birds with one stone and end both of these idiotic government decrees and live a life of Liberty.
You remember Liberty, don’t you? You know, the freedom to live your life as you wish, tempered by the realization that you are responsible for your life’s results.
Liberty, it’s what’s missing in America today!
Planet Earth is Not Dying and the Storm Increase that may or may not be accurately reported in this article as told by Eric Whalen, of Environment New York are not the result of our industrialization.

There were 5 reasons we fought to stop the 7 120 foot tall towers that were to be placed along the Saw Mill Parkway from Hawthorn to Chappaqua.
3. Property Values
5. Health concerns
But the really big one that we all know, but can't win on is that this concept is 20 years old and is outdated in a world of smart phones, in car GPS and OnStar systems and a complete waste of money.
What we need in Pleasantville is an end to flooding caused by the sinking roadway of the Saw Mill Parkway.
As for the Affordable Housing that they want to put in my friends back yard, with almost no street access, built on or above the Saw Mill River, 50 feet from the Metro North rails yea that's on our list.
