Section 1 Girls' Lacrosse Finals at Fox Lane

BEDFORD, N.Y. - Fox Lane High School will be the center of the Section 1 girls’ lacrosse world on Thursday, as host of the Section 1 Championships.
The triple-header begins at 3 p.m., with the Class C title game, as No. 4 Rye plays No. 7 Byram Hills. The Garnets eliminated defending champion Pearl River, 12-11 in a semifinal.
The Class A final follows at 5 p.m., as top-seeded Lakeland/Panas plays second-seeded North Rockland. The Rebels are making their 12th consecutive appearance in the Class A final and are seeking their sixth straight sectional title.
The Class B championship game concludes the evening at 7 p.m. Third-seeded Brewster, which defeated defending champion Yorktown, 8-7 in a semifinal, meets top-seeded Fox Lane. The teams met during the regular season with Brewster winning, 7-6. Fox Lane is making its third straight finals appearance. The Foxes won the title in 2010 and lost to Yorktown last year.
The sectional champions will advance to play the Section 9 titlists in a state regional semifinal, at a date and time to be determined.
