McDonough and more than 40 of his teammates from Norwalk River Rowing competed in this brutal two kilometer individual rowing event on indoor rowing machines.

Many of Norwalk River’s rowers turned in their personal best times, and three medaled in their events.

In addition to McDonough’s silver, Nicole Vacas won silver in the Girls Junior B (14-16) Lightweight category and Brian Helms won bronze in the Boys Junior B (14-16) Lightweight category.

In a good sign for the team for the spring racing season, eight boys turned in times below 7:00 minutes, led by Pound Ridge resident Kris Petreski.
