More than 150 people showed up to Gaetano's in Croton to meet Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor. Taylor, who won two Super Bowls with the Giants and is considered one of the best defensive players of all time, signed autographs and posed for photos.

"I'm pretty excited," Mike Perez, a Cortlandt resident said. "He's definitely my favorite Giant. I want to tell him I'm proud of him."

Perez said his favorite LT memory was when he recovered a fumble in the NFC Championship Game against the San Francisco 49ers in 1991.

"I'm a die-hard Giants fan," Perez said.

Tracey Traverson, a Croton resident, said meeting Taylor was the best experience of her life.

"I checked it off my bucket list," Traverson said. "I told him thank you for making my dream come true. Oh my God, I can't even explain what this means.

Traverson said Taylor and Michael Strahan are her two favorite Giants.

Ken Orsini, a Croton resident, said he has lots of fond memories of Taylor.

"He was the best player at his position," Orsini said. "This is very exciting.

Frank Joblon, a Croton resident, was going to have Taylor sign the program from the game where the Giants retired Taylor's No. 56 jersey.

"I've been waiting a long time for him to sign this," Joblon said. "I still cringe when I watch the play where he broke Joe Theismann's leg."

Rich Morley, a Croton resident, brought his son Jackson to meet Taylor.

"It was awesome," Morley aid. "I grew up with the Giants. He was really good with my son. He said he was a big guy."

Eric Smith, a Verplanck resident, said he add can Taylor to a collection that includes former Giants Harry Carson and Dave Jennings.

"The only one left I need is Phil Simms," Smith said. "LT is one of my favorites."

Anthony Settembre, who owns Gaetano's, said it was fun to have Taylor in Croton.

"It's fun for the town," Settembre said. "Everyone is happy. LT's a nice guy. He's very genuine."
