A letter of recommendation also is required from an adult that describes things such as the applicant's leadership or public service attributes.

The Wilma C. Rogalin Leadership Scholarship was established in March 2012 by the Pound Ridge Women’s Republican Club in memory of Wilma C. Rogalin, a former club president who actively volunteered in Republican Party politics at the local, state and federal levels.

Rogalin served on numerous boards, was very active in the garden club and was a tireless volunteer in the Pound Ridge community.
