POUND RIDGE, N.Y. The Pound Ridge Elementary School will sponsor a lecture entitled How to Prevent Getting Lice and What to do if You Get It next week in the school cafeteria.
The lecture will be provided by Melissa Gordon, owner of the company Happyheads and will take place Friday, Oct. 14 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Gordon developed her own lice treatment system after her children caught lice at school and brought them home to her. She created a family do-it-yourself kit with nontoxic products. Gordon will come to homes in Westchester and Fairfield counties and show families how to use the system, teach combing techniques and provide a tailored maintenance program.
