During the five week, PRES PTA-sponsored program, children turned and candled eggs to see the embryonic development of chicken embryos and recorded daily incubator temperature and humidity levels.

After three weeks, the students observed the hatching of the chicks and learned how to care for them during the next five days. The students and their families took turns hosting the chicks overnight and during the weekends.

The program was rolled out by PTA Board Members and Embryology Committee Co-Chairs Karen Serrao and Maritza Dancsecs.
