"Our high school principal has exercised disciplinary action against a student based upon statements made that could be perceived as threatening," Goetz stated in a message posted to the district's website. "The statements were made on a school bus and the student in question told other students that he/she was in possession of bomb-making plans."

The interim superintendent added, "Immediately upon learning of this, the district contacted law enforcement officials. While we are not aware of any direct threat made to students or staff and there does not appear to be any present danger, we are cooperating in a full investigation of the matter. The student is not currently in school."
