A five-member team of high school students worked together to compete on five environmental topics. They were tested on their knowledge of soils, aquatics, forestry, wildlife and current issues.

They also gave a 5-minute oral presentation on a problem-solving issue related to a current environmental issue. The goal is to allow students to learn about the natural environment and develop research skills, practice team building and gain an appreciation for consensus decision making.

Fox Lane now advances to the New York State Envirothon.
