BEDFORD, N.Y. Fox Lane High School will hold its third annual Visiting Artists Day on Friday.
Ten artists with a variety of backgrounds will make presentations, hold workshops and share their passion and life experiences with the schools art students.
The idea is to give students a firsthand account of the joys and challenges of being an artist, creating work and having a career. Each presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer period.
William Abranowiz, an established photographer and Bedford resident, participates every year and is a returning favorite of the students, said Paul Tooker, K-12 coordinator for the performing arts for the Bedford School District. He, along with others, donate their time to share their life stories with our students. The impact it has on the young artists at Fox Lane is far-reaching and immeasurable.
