NEW CASTLE, N.Y. -- Save your pennies, Westchester residents. The county's most expensive house is back on the market, according to an article on Stacy Knows, and asking a whopping $36 million.

The 98-acre property in New Castle (the former Legionaries of Christ site) affords complete privacy, and is priced 22 percent higher than when previously on the market. Expansions and renovations to the nearly 100 year old mansion were the main prompting behind the increase, according to Soder Real Estate Equities, who is listing the 23,000 square foot house.

The house contains 8 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms, and contains a pool, spacious lawns, and has been previously owned by celebrities such as showman Billy Rose.
