“Rand Realty is very thankful to be honored by this wonderful and giving organization that has been serving Rockland County for 40 years,” said Joseph W. “We believe that everyone at Better Homes and Gardens Rand Realty has an obligation to support their local communities, not just because we want to give back, but because our livelihood depends on organizations, like Meals on Wheels, making this area a great place to live,” said Rand.

Aside from their work with real estate, the Rand family has been involved with several local nonprofit and philanthropic organizations, including leadership positions with the regional American Red Cross, Rockland Community College, People to People and United Hospice of Rockland. The company has also received awards from the regional Salvation Army, the Rockland Development Council, the regional American Cancer Society and People to People.

“Rand Realty and the Rand family have been in the forefront of community service in Rockland County,” said Barbara Kohlhausen, CEO and President of Meals on Wheels of Rockland. “They have been so helpful in trying to get initiatives through and trying to make Rockland a better place for everyone to live. We’re delighted that we can honor such a community-minded business and family.”
