Thursday's closure starts at 9 p.m. and ends at 5 a.m. Friday so workers can remove existing beams on one side of the bridge, county officials said. When it reopens, drivers will be directed by a traffic signal to use one lane.
This is part of the project that started during the summer to repair the bridge. County officials said they'll likely have to close the road at the bridge two more times during the course of the project, but both will be overnight closures.
