New Rochelle's Rackman Seeks Re-Election

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- New Rochelle incumbent City Councilwoman Shari Rackman announced today her intention to seek a second term on the New Rochelle City Council.

“Our city, from the City Council to residents, is evaluating economic development reforms that could greatly improve the Queen City," Rackman said in a statement. "As a New Rochelle councilwoman, I have been very involved in this process and look forward to the productive involvement of all of our residents, so that together we can enjoy a thriving and economically vibrant downtown.”

Rackman has lived in New Rochelle for over 34 years, raising a family and running her own business and law practice in Westchester.

As an attorney, Rackman specializes in family law and mediation. She was recently honored with a New York State Bar Association Award of merit in recognition of her legal advocacy for women.
