Re-elect Bonnie Schwartz to Town Board
In some elections, voters are presented with tough choices on the ballot. Bonnie Schwartz is not tough to get behind. I wouldn’t say that she’s the easy choice… she’s the obvious choice. Beyond a doubt, councilwoman Schwartz is the most qualified person to be re-elected to the Town Board of Pound Ridge on November 7.
In all she has done, for the past 24 years, Bonnie exemplifies honesty, fairness, thoughtfulness and caring for our town. When she ran for town board four years ago, many of us nodded, thinking to ourselves “she would be perfect.” She knows everything about the town and it seems as though she knows everyone in it because her sleeves have been rolled up since the day she arrived in Pound Ridge. Her community service continues -- Lions Club president, OEM volunteer, Recreation Dept. volunteer, etc. -- even as she serves as councilwoman.
As councilwoman, she has brought her work ethic and knack for problem-solving to the town house. Like most towns in Westchester, we are faced with hard choices because of state mandates. Bonnie doesn’t talk the talk, she walks the walk. She protects the taxpayers and gives them the most for their dollar. Cost-cutting is important –her ideas have been implemented at Conant Hall and our Town House --, but so is increasing revenue where possible --like when she proposed charging out of towners for attending our fireworks show… or getting sponsors for our 5K to offset the costs of that event too. This is Bonnie. Tireless. Effective.
Bonnie will continue to do what she has been doing for two decades: make Pound Ridge a better place to live for our residents.
Bonnie and her team of Lyman, Marchetti and Damascus are deserving of your vote on Tuesday, November 7th.
