In a video interview with Daily Voice, Day, who lives in Rockland County, said the 2016 presidential election will see leaders rise up and set the tone for both parties.

"Put forward proactive solutions that apply free market liberty focused principles to get the issues done that people care about," Day said. "People care about health care? Don't just say no to this. Say how we're going to deal with health care in a free market limited government way."

Day believes putting forward proactive solutions will take the Republican Party to the next level.
