Former Gov. George Pataki To Address GOP Chairs In Albany

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – Former Gov. George Pataki, Peekskill native and Garrison resident, will be in Albany on Monday, Dec. 15, to address Republican county chairmen around the state in a closed-door setting, NY State of Politics reports.

The meeting, to be held at the Fort Orange Club at 2 p.m., is the first time Pataki has met privately with GOP officials since he was governor, according to the report.

According to an opinion piece in The New York Observer, Pataki seems serious in seeking a Republican nomination for president in 2016.

The former three-term governor and last Republican to be elected statewide in New York has traveled  in recent weeks to New Hampshire. where the first presidential primary will be held in 2016, to speak with Republican audiences there, according to NY State of Politics.
