Edgar Rodriguez, 23 and Ahmad Safieh, 21 were arrested on April 24, 2015 by Bedford detectives while attempting to flee the scene of the crime on Dickson Lane. Authorities found the two suspects thanks to a phone tip from an alert neighbor, police said.

A joint investigation between Bedford Police, New Castle Police, Briarcliff Manor Police, New York State Police, Westchester County Department of Public Safety and the Westchester County District Attorney’s office ensued, police said.

A Westchester County Grand Jury indicted the two men on 17 counts and indicted Rodriguez alone on an additional 2 counts.

Charges include burglary, attempted burglary, criminal possession of stolen property, grand larceny, criminal impersonation and possession of burglar’s tools. They have been arraigned on the 19 count indictment for their alleged actions which targeted seven different homes over a span of 11 days, police said.

The two suspects are being held in Westchester County Jail while the case is pending, police said.
