Teen Killed By Train At Philipse Manor Station ID'd As Fordham Prep Student

SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. -- A 16-year-old Sleepy Hollow teen who was struck and killed by a train on Monday at the Philipse Manor Train Station was a student at Fordham Prep.

The MTA had no further information about the incident, including the identity of the victim, but the president of Fordham Prep confirmed the teen attended the school.

"The Fordham Prep community is profoundly saddened to acknowledge the passing of a member of its sophomore class," the Rev. Christopher Devron said, according to LoHud. "We are united in prayer and support for his family and friends and all the members of our community who mourn this terrible loss. Fordham Prep's crisis team and counseling staff have developed a plan and resources to support our students.
