At 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, officers went to Cherry and Park streets to investigate a crash, police said.

There were no injuries reported, but a computer check of the drivers' records turned up an active warrant for the arrest of one of the drivers, police said.

Sheryl Tory Moroch, 56, of New Canaan, was wanted on a charge of sixth-degree larceny in connection with an incident on Sept. 29 at a deli/restaurant on Elm Street, police said.

The establishment had reported that approximately $38 worth of items were missing — a bag of Oreos, gingerbread cookies, and a marshmallow cookie pop, police said.

The shoplifting was captured by a video surveillance camera, police said. The suspect was identified because she had used her credit card to pay for other food items that were eaten at the establishment, police said.

Moroch was arrested at the crash scene and processed at headquarters. She was released on $2,500 bond for a court date of Nov. 7.

She was also issued an infraction for an improper turn in the crash.
