POUND RIDGE, N.Y. Pound Ridge police arrested a Sleepy Hollow man last week and charged him with misdemeanor third-degree aggravated unauthorized operation of a motor vehicle.
Police said that on Aug. 15, while conducting a safety checkpoint on Pound Ridge Road, they spotted a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker. Officers say that a Department of Motor Vehicles check revealed that the driver, Sixto H. Morocho, 38, had a suspended New York State drivers license.
Morocho was arrested and transferred to police headquarters where he was charged and also issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle without an inspection certificate. He was released on $150 bail and is due back in court on Sept. 17.
The following items were also reported by the Pound Ridge police:
On Aug. 16, police were called to a residence on Horseshoe Hill Road to investigate a possible larceny. The homeowner told officers that an undisclosed amount of cash was missing from the house. The incident is under investigation.
On Aug. 17, police were called to a Horseshoe Hill Road home for an animal complaint. A bat was stuck between a window and the screen. Police turned the case over to the animal nuisance department.
On Aug. 17, police were called to investigate a one-car accident on Westchester Avenue. No injuries were reported and no tow was needed.
