POUND RIDGE, N.Y. – Pound Ridge police have arrested and charged two motorists with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated.
On July 1, during a routine traffic stop on Lower Shad Road, police said they detected a strong odor of alcohol on the driver. The driver was given a field sobriety test, which officers say she failed.
Police then arrested Lucy Leone, 53, of Redding, Conn. and charged her with misdemeanor DWI, first offense. She was also issued a summons for driving left of the pavement markings. Leone was taken to police headquarters for processing. She was released on $200 bail and is due back in court on July 23.
During a traffic stop on Clearwater Lane on June 30, police arrested Samuel Rodriguez, 47, of Pound Ridge, and charged him with misdemeanor DWI, first offense. Rodriquez was also issued summonses for operating a motor vehicle with alcohol in the blood; an equipment violation, no tail lights; having an unregistered motor vehicle; and failure to obey a police officer. He was released on $250 bail and is due back in court on July 23.

On June 29, during a traffic stop on Westchester Avenue, police discovered that the driver did not have a license. The car was impounded and the driver was issued summonses for having loose cargo without a cover and being an unlicensed driver. The vehicle’s owner was also issued a summons for permitting the unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Police were called to Conant Valley Road on July 1, for a criminal mischief complaint. The homeowner reported that his mailbox had been vandalized. Police are investigating.
