POUND RIDGE, N.Y. – Gianni Dimeglio, 32, of Norwalk, Conn. was charged July 13 with driving while intoxicated after a routine traffic stop, according to Pound Ridge Police.
At 9:05 p.m., police said a Pound Ridge officer pulled over Dimeglio's car on London Road. While interviewing the driver, the officer smelled a strong odor of alcohol on Dimeglio's person, according to police.
Dimeglio failed field sobriety tests, police said, and was arrested and transported to Pound Ridge Police headquarters for processing.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and a highway violation.
Dimeglio was released on $240 bail and is scheduled to appear in Pound Ridge Justice Court on Aug. 6.
