Pound Ridge Cops Charge Two With Unlicensed Driving

POUND RIDGE, N.Y. – Pound Ridge police arrested two motorists last week and charged them with third-degree unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor.

On Oct. 9, officers said they pulled over a vehicle for speeding on Westchester Avenue at around 8:45 p.m. Police said a check revealed the driver, Anthony M. Daddona, 73, of Greenwich, Conn., had a suspended New York license.

Daddona was arrested and charged with third-degree unlicensed operation and issued a summons for traveling 59 mph in a 30 mph zone. He was released on $200 bail and is due back in court Oct. 29.

The following day, Oct. 10, during a routine traffic stop on Long Ridge Road at around 11 a.m., police said a check revealed the driver, Gustavo F. Pacheco, 42, of Tarrytown, was driving with a suspended New York license.

Pacheco was arrested and charged with third-degree unlicensed operation. He also was issued summonses for operating a motor vehicle with improper plates, operating an unregistered motor vehicle on a highway and failure to use headlights when operating windshield wipers. He was released on $250 bail and is due back in court Oct. 29.

The following items were also reported by the Pound Ridge police:

On Oct. 10 on Pound Ridge Road, police arrested a motorist for marijuana possession. Police said during a routine traffic stop at around 2:10 p.m., they detected the odor of marijuana in the vehicle. The name of the driver was not released due to youthful offender status.

On Friday, police responded to a one-car accident on Cross River Road at 5:47 p.m. No injuries were reported and no tow was necessary.
