POUND RIDGE, N.Y. Pound Ridge police arrested a 19-year-old man from New Canaan, Conn. Sunday and charged him with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor.
Police arrested Michael K. Forester after a routine traffic stop on High Ridge Road at around 12:40 a.m., when they allegedly found him parked on the road. Officers said Forester failed field sobriety tests and was escorted to police headquarters, where he was charged with aggravated DWI, which means he allegedly had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.18 percent more than twice the legal limit. It was Foresters first offense.
Forester was released on $200 bail and is due back in court June 25.
The following items also were reported by the Pound Ridge police:
- On May 30, police received a report of someone going into a vehicle on Westchester Avenue. They discovered items thrown around, but nothing was reported stolen.
- On Friday, police were called to Saddle Ridge Road on a report of a suspicious car. Officers located the vehicle, which was unoccupied. The area was checked but the owner was not located and police issued a parking summons.
- During a routine traffic stop Saturday on Long Ridge Road, police said they discovered the license of the driver, Nicholas E. Panetta, 20, of Mount Kisco, allegedly was suspended. He was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor, and also issued a summons for driving across hazard markings.
- During a commercial traffic road check Monday at the Town Park, police said they discovered the license of Lee K. Cigna, 39, of Waterbury, Conn. was suspended in New York. He was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. During the same commercial traffic road check, police also arrested and charged Manuel Marroquin, 42, of Stamford, Conn. for driving without a license. Both charges are misdemeanors.
