Manhunt Underway For Burglary Suspect In Northern Westchester

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- An search for a burglary suspect is under way, New Castle police announced on Saturday.

State Police are involved in the search, according to the announcement, with officers, bloodhounds and aviation being used. 

The search is taking place in the vicinity of the Taconic State Parkway and Campfire Road, according to police.

The suspect is identified as a white male, 5-foot-8 and wearing camouflage shorts and a black T-shirt. Police announced that he is wanted for burglary and that there is an arrest warrant, which is for out of state.

Police advise people who live in the area to lock their doors. People who live in the Cabin Ridge Road are asked not to open their doors, except if it is an officer from the state police, New Castle police or Westchester County police.
