Police Say Speed Was Factor In Bedford Crash Involving Six Teens

BEDFORD, N.Y. -- Authorities believe speeding may have been a key factor in causing an accident that sent six teenagers to the hospital in Bedford on Wednesday, according to LoHud.com.

The three boys and three girls were riding in a 2007 Honda Civic, which is only designed for five passengers, when the 17-year-old male driver lost control and drove off of Springhurst Road, LoHud.com said. 

The car struck a tree and threw two of the teens from the vehicle. All of the passengers were taken to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries, LoHud.com reported.
