Officers were dispatched to a Bradley Road home at approximately 6 p.m. on Feb. 7, where there was a report of a burglary that had happened in the past. Upon arrival at the residence, officers determined there was no one in the home and were informed that the homeowners had been on vacation for several days.

Police said that when the Bradley Road homeowners returned home, they found three windows wide open on the ground floor of their home. Further investigation revealed that their bedroom and guest room had been “ransacked” and a jewelry box, assorted coins and 15 bottles of wine were stolen from the property.

According to police, it is believed the burglars entered through one of the three windows which had been left open. Investigators said that the “windows are old and do not appear to have been forced open.”

While the homeowners were away, mail and deliveries were halted, and the only visit to the home was by a neighbor to raise the temperature of the house in anticipation of their return home. When the neighbor was interviewed, they stated that the house was not drastically cold and the windows were not opened.

A canvas of the neighborhood resulted in negative results. The burglary is currently being investigated by police.
