Detectives arrested Blakney at around 7:20 p.m. on June 5, concluding a three-month narcotics investigation involving the Peekskill Police Narcotics Division and the Westchester County Narcotics Unit, according to a release. Police later executed a search warrant at Blakney’s home on Nelson Avenue “resulting in additional drug and paraphernalia charges,” according to the release.
Blakney was charged with three felony counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance, four felony counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and one felony count of Criminal Possession of a Narcotic Drug and a misdemeanor charge of Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia, according to Peekskill Police.
Peekskill Police also reported the following items from June 1 to 8:
- The Peekskill Police Department is working with the City of Peekskill Building Department on continued checks of businesses throughout the city to ensure code compliance. The department is planning on “continuing spot checks on businesses” in the city to enforce State and local codes.
- The Peekskill Police Department checked The Patio at 1 Bank St., and found the business to be out of city code compliance on June 7. The business was closed for the evening.
- The department found El Sabor Latino Restaurant on 933 South St. to be out of compliance with state the New York State Liquor Authority. The business was closed for the evening on June 8.
