A village resident reported to county police on Friday morning that she had received the suspicious package, but had not mailed the necklace to the Arlington, Va. residence that it was addressed to, as she did not know why her home was indicated as the sender’s address.
Police said that at her request, they took possession of the necklace for safekeeping. The incident is currently being investigated.
Other items on the Mount Kisco Police Department blotter from Monday, Nov. 13 through Sunday, Nov. 19 include:
- A staff member at Mount Kisco Elementary School reported to police that a parent of a student screamed at her, making her concerned for her own safety. Police said that she wanted a report to be prepared to document her concern. There was no further incident.
- An “emotionally distraught” woman was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital Center for observation after allegedly taking a vehicle without her parent’s permission. Police received the report at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 14 after the reports of a New Castle resident took the vehicle without permission. She was tracked down on East Main Street before volunteering to go in for observation at the hospital.
