Scott Day, 49, was arrested and charged Thursday with scheme to defraud, a Class A misdemeanor.

Over three days in January 2015, Day obtained a total of $198 from two businesses under false pretenses, police said. Day was identified as the suspect though police were unable to locate him for two years.

Following further investigation, Day agreed to voluntarily appear at police headquarters. He was released on $1,000 bail and is due back in court on Oct. 17.
