A total of 132 tickets were issued to motorists in a pair of separate occupant safety enforcement details Saturday and Sunday that were both held at the FDR State Park entrance off of the Taconic State Parkway in Yorktown.
In the latest detail, held between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sunday, a total of 67 tickets were issued for these violations, 48 for child restraint, seven for seatbelts and 12 for other vehicle and traffic offenses.
A total of 65 tickets were issued on Saturday in another checkpoint at FDR Park,
Sixty of the tickets issued during the six-hour detail were for child restraint violations.
This details were held to help educate the public on the importance of properly securing children within the vehicle, state police said.
