New Castle Woman's Death Ruled Suicide

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y.-- The missing Chappaqua woman who was found dead in a New York City hotel room last week died as a result of suicide.

New Castle resident Susan Feinberg's death has been ruled a suicide, officials said. Feinberg was reported missing by police on Aug. 20.

The New York City Medical Examiner's office ruled that 59-year old Susan Feinberg's death was suicide via acute intoxication of an unknown substance.

Feinberg's body was discovered lying face-up at the Times Square Hilton hotel on Aug. 20, according to a representative with the New York Police Department Press Office.

Feinberg, who was married with two children, was last seen in Grand Central Terminal on Aug. 19. New Castle Police, who issued a missing person's report the next morning, said she was en-route to New York City for a doctor's appointment, which she never made.

According to her LinkedIn page, Feinberg, an Oak Hill Road resident, listed herself as a pro bono attorney. She worked at Cohanzik Management L.L.C., a hedge fund, in Pleasantville as a high yield analyst until 2008, according to her LinkedIn..

She was admitted to the bar in New York in 2005 and was also licensed to practice in Georgia and Florida. Feinberg is originally from Yardley, PA and attended the University of Pennsylvania, according to her Facebook page.
