While conducting routine surveillance at the Heathcote School in Scarsdale at approximately 1:15 a.m. on Tuesday, June 12, officers reported that they spotted several youths sitting in the playground area in the school, which is a violation of the Scarsdale Village Code.

Police said that upon interacting with the minors, there was a glass marijuana bond and a metal grinder in plain sight. While speaking with the youths - whose names have not been released due to their age - they admitted to being in possession of a bag of marijuana, as well as a marijuana vape pen that contained concentrated cannabis oil.

Each of the minors was handcuffed and transported to Scarsdale Police Headquarters, where they were placed in holding cells. Each was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. After being processed, the youths were released into the custody of their parents for “appropriate parental discipline.”
