Bedford Hills Inmate Is Charged With Using Razor In Attack Inside Prison

BEDFORD HILLS, N.Y. -- A Bedford Hills inmate is facing multiple charges after allegedly attacking a fellow inmate with a razor blade on Friday, according to New York State Police.

Tami Eldridge, 41, who is currently serving a long term incarceration for homicide, attacked the inmate with a razor, causing injuries to the inmate's face and hand.

During the attack, correction officers attempted to separate the two inmates during which time one of the officers sustained minor injuries, police said. 

The victim of the attack was taken to Westchester County Medical Center where she was treated for her injuries, police said. 

Eldridge was charged with both first- and second-degree assault, promoting prison contraband and obstruction of governmental administration, police said.
