39-Year-Old Man In Critical Condition; Struck By Car, Stamford Cops Say

STAMFORD, Conn. -- A 39-year-old man is fighting for his life after he suffered severe injuries after being struck by a car around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday on West Main Street, Stamford Police said.

A 1995 Toyota Camry was traveling eastbound on West Main Street when the vehicle struck the pedestrian in the area of Diaz Street.

The 46-year-old driver, a Stamford resident, was uninjured, police said.

The 39-year pedestrian is believed to be a city resident but police are withholding names until the identity of the 39-year-old man can be confirmed.
