To the Editor:
Our family has known Brian Sheerin for eight years and he is undoubtedly a most qualified candidate for the Bedford Central School District Board of Education. Our children have attended BCSD together since 2007, beginning at MKES, now at Fox Lane Middle and High School.
Brian is an active member of the school community and sees both the strengths and challenges facing our district. He has a great understanding of the difficulties imposed on us by Albany and D.C. with respect to unfunded mandates, but knows there are still effective actions we can take at the local level to help navigate through our fiscal constraints.
To say that Brian will work tirelessly to help us achieve academic excellence for our children is an understatement. Our friend is passionate for all the right reasons-and his resume speaks for itself.
We think it is time for someone who will represent the students and community as one, while supporting the administration’s goals of engaging in a more open dialogue with parents and residents. Please help him and our community by marking your calendars and voting for Brian on Tuesday, May 19. Thank you.
