To The Editor,
As a multi-year member of BCSD's Budget Advisory Committee, I can say with some authority that Bedford Central is at a critical junction.
Mike Solomon understands that junction better than anyone and is supremely qualified to become the board's new president. He repeatedly has demonstrated the fortitude to take the road less traveled and to fight for the long-term fiscal sustainability of our district.
He understands a tyranny of the majority has the ability destroy the socio-economic diversity of our towns and that to allow that to happen is immoral.
Delivering great education can indeed be balanced with the entire community's ability to pay for it, and Mike Solomon needs to lead that charge.
I urge the board to elect him to their highest leadership post.
