To the editor:
I am writing to urge my friends and neighbors in Pound Ridge to support Hilary Kao for Town Justice. I have known Kao for eight years, since our sons were in pre-school together at the Pound Ridge Community Church, throughout elementary school at Pound Ridge Elementary School and currently as sixth-graders at Fox Lane Middle School.
I know Kao to be a dedicated father and husband, a reliable and effective school and community volunteer, a man of outstanding character and a stellar friend. Hilary grew up in Pound Ridge. His commitment to the community is so strong that he and his wife, Ja, chose to return here to raise their family.
I have interacted with and observed Kao in many situations, as a volunteer, as a parent and socially. Like Kao, I am an attorney, and in our many discussions I am always impressed with his intelligence, sincerity, knowledge of the law, innate fairness and sense of justice.
In all things, I have observed his measured consideration of the facts before him and his ability to maintain an open mind. These are precisely the attributes we need for our town justice. His lifelong commitment to Pound Ridge will allow him to make a positive contribution and bring a fresh perspective to this important position.
I urge you to vote for Hilary Kao in November.
